oandp.com is an Internet portal dedicated to providing comprehensive information and services to the orthotics and prosthetics profession. The site is owned and operated by O&P Digital Technologies (Gainesville, FL), an Internet technology company that provides a full range of web/software development and technology services tailored to the O&P profession.
The vision of oandp.com is to make as much information as possible freely available to both professionals and consumers, toward the goal of improving the quality of care provided by O&P professionals and the quality of life of their patients. We would like to thank our clients, our advertisers and the many people who have supported us along the way for helping to make this possible.
History
O&P Digital Technologies was founded in 1995 by Paul Prusakowski, CPO, who had a vision to bring Internet technology to the O&P profession and create a massive information resource that would be freely available to all. After a year in development, oandp.com was launched at the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting in Orlando, FL in March 1996, in conjunction with the launch of the Academy's own web site (also built by O&P Digital Technologies).
In the years since it was launched, oandp.com has steadily grown in both the amount of information available and the number of people who use it. The Academy's Journal of Prosthetics & Orthotics Online Library was added in 1998 and has continued to grow as each new issue becomes available. In March 2001, over ten years of the Journal of the Association or Children's Prosthetic-Orthotic Clinics was added, and more journals are on the way. March 2001 also saw the addition of the complete archives of OANDP-L, the Orthotics and Prosthetics Listserver, which is also operated by O&P Digital Technologies. In 2001, a free O&P employment classifieds section was added. Then in 2002, oandp.com partnered with The O&P EDGE to bring breaking news and extensive content about the O&P profession to the web. These resources, combined with hundreds of web sites from manufacturers, facilities, organizations, educational institutions, and more make oandp.com the most comprehensive resource available to the profession, and explain why it has over 50,000 visitors each month.
