PrimeFare West will feature its first ever post-mastectomy track this year February 15-16 at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an opportunity for CFOM professionals to earn as many as eight hours of continuing education units.
Among those presenting:
- Contour Med will be presenting a scanning and fitting course with hands-on training. In addition, Susan Cassidy, PhD, from Contour Med will be giving an update on "Clinical Issues and Emerging Diagnostic Technologies."
- Medi USA will be presenting on post-mastectomy lymphedema management. The course will include treatment protocols for post-mastectomy lymphedema management, compression garment selection for off-the-shelf, and custom fitting and measurement training.
- Amoena will provide an overview of the unique aspects of this specialized service through a breast cancer survivor's eyes and will cover how fitters can have a truly unique connection with their post-mastectomy patients. Fitting tips, trends, and some new products will be demonstrated on a live model.
In addition to post-mastectomy, the program will feature opportunities up to 12 hours of prosthetics, orthotics, and pedorthics courses.
