Ossur's PROPRIO FOOT® was recognized with an innovation award at the ninth ORPROTEC tradeshow in Valencia, Spain, according to Ossur. Led by Belén Juste, the regional minister for industry, trade, and innovation, the judges included representatives of disability groups as well as corporate leaders. The judges were unanimous in their selection of the PROPRIO FOOT.
Bjorg Birgisdottir and Marcos Budria, Ossur's area and technical managers in Spain, were presented with the award by ORPROTEC President Pedro Fernandez and Bruno Borseta, general director of Spain's department of industry and innovation. "The aspects that were assessed were the level of innovation compared to existing products, its contribution toward improving the quality of lifefor prosthetic users, and its economical impact on the market," Borseta said. This was just one of many awards for the PROPRIO FOOT this year.
ORPROTEC is an international fair for orthopedics and assisted living, with emphasis on technologies for senior citizens and the disabled.
