The organizers of the fourth regional PrimeFare West Educational O&P Symposium, Salt Lake City, Utah, February 2021, 2009, said they have assembled some of the most sought-after speakers, industry leaders, and educators in the country to offer a full course of programs to match its 2009 theme, "Nourishment for the Mind."

"Our pedorthic sequence is particularly intriguing, focusing on the treatment of complex and challenging pathologies not often addressed," said Cathie Pruitt, president and CEO of PrimeCare O&P Network. "We are pleased that Dennis and Erick Janisse of the National Pedorthic Services, and Paul Barattiero from Orthofeet will be presenting this exciting CPed curriculum for us."

In addition to the pedorthic sequence, this year's offerings include concurrent sessions in prosthetics, orthotics, and practice management. The educational symposium will also incorporate opportunities for practitioners to qualify for certification after on-site, manufacturer-accredited courses on the i-LIMBTM Hand, the E-MAG Active Orthosis, and the SensorWalk Orthosis. Courses in all four specialized disciplines will allow a continuing education credit total of up to 12 continuing education credits (CEUs) per attendee, according to the organizers.

"The difficulty with PrimeFare seminars has always been that there are so many worthwhile course offerings being presented concurrently that it is difficult to make a decision which to attend," said Terry Shaw, CPO, FAAOP, who has attended more than half of the previous 12 PrimeFare regional events. "They are very well-crafted events that bring in top-notch people to treat timely topics."
