The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published a new fact sheet titled, “The Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Bidding Program—a Better Way for Medicare to Pay for Medical Equipment.” The fact sheet, dated February 2010, is now available in downloadable format on the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding website. This fact sheet gives providers and suppliers an overview of the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding program as well as what CMS calls “useful information regarding the benefits and inherit qualities of the program.”
