The Pedorthic Footcare Association (PFA) has issued a call for abstracts for its 53rd Annual Symposium & Exhibition, to be held November 1–3, 2012, at the Peabody Hotel and Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Presentations can be in the format of a lecture, hands-on demonstration, panel discussion, or five-minute mini session. The submission deadline is January 31.

According to PFA, it is seeking presentations that address the topics of arthritis, biomechanics, business development, diabetes, general pedorthics, geriatrics, global pedorthics, government and legislation, lower-limb pathologies, practice management, research, and sports medicine.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the PFA’s Council on Pedorthic Education (COPE), and accepted presenters will be notified by March 25. PFA membership is not a prerequisite for submissions. PFA also notes that it reserves the right to publish accepted presentations in Current Pedorthics.
