Balboa Films, Newport Beach, California, is in the process of casting a feature film "The Ride." There are two small roles, critical to the story, which the film company is finding difficult to cast. As a result, Balboa Films has issued a letter in the hopes of filling these two principle (speaking) roles with the right people. Since they are both fairly small roles, no prior acting experience is necessary, although the company does require a positive and outgoing attitude and willingness to learn quickly.

Through a grueling physical therapy program, he eventually recovers the use of his legs. The other patients he meets in therapy change him in profound ways. He eventually becomes the world's number one surfer, after a rocky trip to get to that point other surfers who do everything possible to prevent him from getting the spot that they all desperately want. Just as a side note, there is no nudity or anything of the sort in this film.

All travel, lodging, meals, etc. for these two roles will be covered for the persons chosen. Balboa is also willing to be flexible in the shoot days for these roles, in order to accommodate the schedules/availability of the people they choose. They are planning to shoot June through August in the Los Angeles area. These roles will only require approximately two to four days, and they can schedule them for weekends if necessary. There will also be some pay. Balboa Films reiterates that no prior acting experience or ability to surf is required for these particular roles.

The following is the breakdown for the two characters:

Matt: Male, 18-25, single leg amputee. Caucasian. 5'10'' and taller preferred. Height-weight proportionate. Positive, outgoing personality.
Sarah: Female, 18-27, single leg amputee. Caucasian. Height-weight proportionate. Positive, outgoing personality.

Balboa would be very thankful if practitioners could ask any of their patients that may be interested, and match the requirements above, to contact them either through email or by phone for submission information at Balboa Films, Phone: 310.922.5859, or Email: BBoaFilms@hotmail.com
