A larger-than-expected turnout of 100 footwear professionals from across the United States gathered in Las Vegas, Nevada, last month for the first Aetrex® Elite conference.
"The unexpectedly high turnout for this event shows that there is a strong demand in the retail community for high-level marketing and business development seminars," said Larry Schwartz, CEO of Aetrex Worldwide Inc., Teaneck, New Jersey. "Our goal in establishing the Elite conference was to provide attendees with cutting edge strategies that will help them take their businesses to the next level."
Phil Simms, a longtime quarterback for the NFL's New York Giants and the most valuable player of Super Bowl XXI, gave the keynote speech at the event. Simms stressed that Aetrex footwear and footcare products have helped him remain active and avoid injuries after a 15-year career in the rough-and-tumble world of professional sports.
"I left the Elite conference with proven ideas that helped my business the day I got back to my store," said Jurgen Zimmer of Arch Solutions, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Aetrex will hold the second annual Elite conference in the spring of 2008.
