Tonja Randolph, President & Publisher
Tonja Randolph founded Western Media LLC in January 2002 after first entering the O&P field in 1994. Her love of O&P began by filling in at Scott Orthopedics in Denver, Colorado, followed by a position as the interim office manager at Hanger's Boulder location.

In 1997, Kandee Stephens, past publisher of O&P Business News asked her if she would like to lead a new project for the international market, O&P World. Having just graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing, the role was a perfect match. Thus began the first-hand experience needed to start a new magazine from the bottom up—the international travel was icing on the cake.

Launching The O&P EDGE was a dream come true for this aspiring entrepreneur. With Miki Fairley leading the editorial front, four ladies came together to share their passion for orthotics and prosthetics. More than ten years later, her passion for the industry has not subsided and Tonja couldn't imagine doing anything else.

In her spare time, she enjoys dining out with her husband and spending time with their two teenage daughters; spoiling their new puppy, Colby; cheering on her husband's 10-year-old softball team; shopping; and traveling. She can be reached at

Marti Randolph, Production Manager
Marti K. Randolph is the art and production manager for Western Media. She has been with the company since its inception in 2002. For the first several years of the magazine, Marti and her daughter-in-law and president and publisher, Tonja Randolph, worked on the publication in the basement of Tonja's home.

Marti has been working in the O&P field since 1990. She started as an administrative assistant to the general manager of Scott Orthopedics in Denver, Colorado. In 1995, she moved to Pagosa Springs, Colorado to be the office manager and assist Kandee Stephens with O&P Business News, the first independent O&P magazine of its kind. It was there that Marti found her niche in the magazine world when she began helping with layout and design. With her fine arts and computer graphics background, production on the magazine came naturally for her and it is what she enjoys doing. She can be reached at

Maureen Masucci, Office Manager
Maureen Masucci is the office manager for Western Media. She started with the company in the fall of 2005 assisting Tonja with administrative tasks while the company was still run from a home office. As the company grew, and everyone came together in an office suite, Maureen accepted the position of the office manager. Maureen takes great pride in making sure the office is in tip-top shape, that all of the reader responses are tracked daily, and that we always have enough ink. She enjoys the small office environment as well as trying to balance family time.

Maureen has been happily married to her husband, John, for 24 years, and together they are the proud parents of three children.

Karen Henry, Director of Editorial and Special Projects
Karen Henry has been the editor in chief of The O&P EDGE since November 2006. In 2012, she was named director of editorial and special projects at Western Media LLC to help the company plan and execute new business and editorial initiatives. While still very involved with The O&P EDGE editorial mission and planning, she will focus mainly on developing feature content for the magazine.

Karen is an award-winning editor with 15 years of experience writing for and editing magazines. Before joining Western Media, she worked on the publications staff of lifestyle, technology, and association publications. She received a bachelor's degree in English from Colorado State University, Fort Collins and master's degree in English literature from Northern Michigan University, Marquette.

In her spare time, she coaches young and inexperienced writers in developing their voice. Karen has a particular weakness for dark chocolate. She can be reached at

Anita Ramich, Classified & Calendar Sales
Anita Ramich joined Western Media as the classified and calendar sales representative in May 2010. Since then, she has increased her responsibilities to include supporting the HR and IT functions. She also makes sure that the office coffee machine always functions properly.

Anita's professional background includes working for both large and small companies with responsibilities in human resources, recruiting and staffing, bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, social media networking, and website management. As a Certified Staffing Professional, Anita has in-depth knowledge of recruiting and staffing laws, and several years of experience writing ads, recruiting and interviewing, which make her especially adept at assisting customers with their classified needs.

Anita and her husband share their home with four cats and their Irish Wolfhound dog. She is an avid supporter of animal rescues. She can be reached at

Laura Fonda Hochnadel, Assistant Editor
Laura Fonda Hochnadel joined The O&P EDGE in April 2010, as an assistant editor. In addition to editing, she writes the "Today's Consumer" and "Extraordinary O&P" personal-interest stories, and most recently became the news editor. Laura has a master of liberal studies degree with a creative writing emphasis from the University of Denver, Colorado, and is an award-winning writer.

Laura comes to The O&P EDGE after a 20-year career in commercial mortgage financing. Married in 2010, she enjoys spending time with her husband and stepdaughter. An Italophile, her other interests include reading and writing; riding road, mountain, and dirt bikes; and gardening. Laura hopes to travel to Italy in the fall of 2012 and enjoy good wine and company. She can be reached at

Kim Espinosa, Sales & Marketing Manager

Kim Espinosa is the sales and marketing manager for Western Media. Her most recent experience was at a local Denver television station, CBS Channel 4, a KCNC affiliate, where she helped sell their free consumer referral service, Haystack Colorado. Kim has worked for generic and branded pharmaceutical companies in sales, marketing, and corporate contract administration. Kim has volunteered with several foster home renovation projects in Colorado.

Kim is married to an Arvada firefighter and is a mother of three. She stays exceptionally busy with football, basketball, and baseball with her two boys and loves visiting with her daughter and new son-in-law. She enjoys the occasional night out of Karaoke and believes that everyone should rescue at least one dog or pet. She can be reached at

Andrea Spridgen, Managing Editor
Andrea Spridgen is the managing editor of The O&P EDGE. She has more than ten years of experience in editing, communications, and marketing. Prior to joining Western Media in May 2011, she worked in the education and non-profit industries, including her role as managing editor of a magazine devoted to therapeutic equine-assisted activities. Andrea earned a bachelor's degree in English from Regis University, Denver, Colorado and a master's degree in English literature from St. Cloud State University, Minnesota.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage daughter, hiking with her German Shepherd, and reading Arthurian and fantasy literature. She can be reached at

Kat West, Production Assistant & Graphic Designer
Kat West joined our team in 2012. Kat and Marti are the rockin' team that keep our magazine looking fresh and clean. She has helped implement new production procedures and has never missed a deadline. You will always find a smile on her face!

Kat has been in the design field for ten years. She went to Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design and graduated in 2003. After traveling and experiencing many adventures in Phoenix, and Austin, she has returned to her Colorado mountains to settle down with her new husband, Chris. Kat can usually be seen drinking energy drinks, and spreading sunshine and rainbows around our office. She can be reached at
