AOPA Seminars Offer 20.5 CE Credits

The American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) Coding & Billing and HIPAA Compliance seminars have been approved by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC) and the Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) for 20.5 continuing education (CE) credits.

Which HCPCS code should be used? What devices can be billed? These, along with many other questions, will be answered during the Coding and Billing Seminar.

The AOPA HIPAA Compliance Seminar will help O&P professionals to understand and implement the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules. HIPAA is a mandatory federal regulation. Violations carry heavy fines and other potential penalties. The Coding and Billing Seminar will be held September 11-12 in Columbus, Ohio. The Compliance Seminar is slated for September 13 in Columbus. By signing up for both, registrants can earn 20.5 CE credits in three days. These two seminars also are scheduled for December 5-7 in San Antonio, Texas. Registrants for the Coding and Billing Seminar will receive a $100 discount on the HIPAA Compliance Seminar registration fee.
