OTS Donates to Mercy Ships

Timothy Pansiera, CO, president of OTS Corporation, Weaverville, North Carolina, announced the donation of $5,000 in orthotic components to Mercy Ships, a global charity that has operated hospital ships in developing nations since 1978. The current voyage is to Sierra Leone, Africa, to assist patients suffering from polio.

Pansiera, who founded OTS Corporation 25 years ago, was introduced to the world of orthotics as the result of a boating accident as a teenager. Stating that "he wanted to give back some measure of what was so freely given to him," he directed OTS' Orthotic Components Division to send products in time for this voyage. This gift matches a similar donation OTS made to Mercy Ships last year, and OTS said it hopes to present another donation for another Mercy Ships mission later this year.
