Richard Berggren, CPO, Passes

Richard A. Berggren, CPO, of Bartlett, Tennessee, a longtime fixture in the O&P community, passed away March 2 in Memphis. He was 56.

Berggren most recently worked with Spears Prosthetics and Orthotics in the Herber Springs, Arkansas, office. He spent more than 30 years in the metropolitan Memphis area working as an orthotist and prosthetist, and he spent much of the past decade focusing on rehabilitation. Berggren had worked in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) hospital system, as well as at facilities owned by Hanger Orthopedic Group, Bethesda, Maryland.

Berggren is survived by his wifeof 27 years, Connie; a daughter, Lauren; and son, Zachary; as well as brothers Paul and Jimmy.
