SPS, Alpharetta, Georgia, announced the promotion
of two of its team members. Per Kvalsten has been promoted from
purchasing manager to director of purchasing. According to SPS,
Kvalsten's promotion reflects the wider range of responsibilities
he has taken on with overall purchasing decisions, including
inventory stocking levels for all SPS distribution centers, vendor
relationships, and product sourcing. Kvalsten had been purchasing
manager for SPS for six years prior to his recent promotion.
"Per has been instrumental in achieving our internal cost
control goals, while expanding SPS' inventory and improving our
capabilities to serve SPS customers," said Eric Craig, vice
president of operations for SPS.
Bob Parks has been promoted to warehouse manager of the Paso
Robles Distribution Center. Parks joined the SPS team more than
eight years ago as warehouse supervisor at Paso Robles. "Bob's
leadership has been pivotal in the continued growth and expansion
of our California warehouse," said Craig.
