PrimeFare East Set for May 30-31The tenth annual PrimeFare East Regional Conference will take
place May 30-31 at the Nashville Convention Center, Nashville,
Tennessee. The program will feature opportunities for up to 12
hours of prosthetics, orthotics, and pedorthics courses, as well as
up to eight hours of post-mastectomy credits. PrimeFare is a
scientific symposium with hands-on exposure for maximum learning
experiences.
The keynote presentation will feature representatives from the
American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) and the
Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) for an update regarding the
national drive for O&P parity. The presentation will provide an
overview of both organizations' goals and efforts followed by a
question-and-answer session.
Progress has been made not only in achieving parity for
prosthetic care, but also for orthotics. Several states have passed
laws ensuring access to prosthetics and orthotics. The ACA and AOPA
are working to bring their combined long-term experience, contacts,
and efforts to bear on making sure that coverage is aevailable and
parity achieved for orthotic and prosthetic care. Efforts are also
being made to advance patient choice in choosing providers.
"We really appreciate the continued support year after year of
our returning sponsors and warmly welcome our new sponsors," added
Cathie Pruitt, PrimeFare president and CEO.
