AK Amputee Up for ‘Child of Year’ Award

Ten-year-old Brendan Driscoll was recently nominated and honored in his home town of Cape Ann, Massachusetts, as "Child of the Year."

Brendan has been an transfemoral amputee since before he was in kindergarten and until a little over a year ago couldn't play sports with other kids. Through the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF), Brendan was awarded an Ossur running foot and hasn't slowed down since. To date, he has raised approximately $20,000 that will go toward buying other amputees prosthetics.
