MacKenzie Buys All Velocity, Evolution Shares

Craig MacKenzie, CP, RTP(c), founding partner of Velocity Labs Inc. and Evolution Liners Inc., both of Orlando, Florida, has purchased the shares of two minority shareholders to become the sole owner of both companies. The financial details of the August 27 transaction were not disclosed.

According to an Evolution press release, MacKenzie plans to increase the companies' focus on research and development. "We have always strived to supply innovative products to the [O&P] community, and we look forward to expanding on the new ideas that we are currently developing," MacKenzie said. The companies will remain separate entities for the immediate future although Evolution acknowledges that a merger is planned.
