Hanger Hires, Promotes

For the month of October, Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, a division of Hanger Orthopedic Group, Bethesda, Maryland, announced the following promotions and new hires:

Kaia Busch, CPO, has been promoted to market leader/regional vice president of Hanger's new Northwest market, which consists of the states of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Prior to her promotion, Busch held the position of director of orthotics. She earned her bachelor's degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Washington, Seattle.

Jean Ann Bailey has been promoted to market leader/regional vice president of the new Heartland market, with primary responsibility for Iowa, Kansas, and western Missouri. For the past four years, Bailey held the position of area practice manager and then associate market leader after Hanger's acquisition of Rehab Designs of America (RDA), where she served as chief operating officer. She is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Kansas, and has worked in O&P for 13 years.

William Hineman, CP, has been promoted to market leader/regional vice president of the new Great Plains market, which consists of Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming, and Sioux City, Iowa. Prior to Hineman's promotion, he held the position of associate market leader for the Rocky Mountain market. He earned his bachelor's degree in business management from Western International University, Phoenix, Arizona, and is a graduate of Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois.

Vanessa Zaun, CO, has been hired to Hanger's Charlotte, North Carolina, patient care center. A graduate of the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center, Chicago, Illinois, Zaun earned her bachelor's degree in animal and veterinary science from Clemson University, South Carolina.

Baxter Baker, CO, recently joined the Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics Taos, New Mexico, patient care center. Baker attended Chowan College, Murfreesboro, North Carolina, and graduated from the Shelby State College orthotic and prosthetic certificate program, Memphis, Tennessee.

Mark Frankovitch, CPO, joined the San Francisco, California, patient care team as a practitioner, and, according to Hanger, "brings extensive patient care experience." Frankovitch earned a bachelor's degree in political science from Marymount University, Arlington, Virginia, and is a graduate of the California State University Dominguez Hills prosthetic and orthotic certificate program.

Steve Kulifaj, CO, has been hired as the new practice manager of Hanger's Reno/Carson City, Nevada patient care centers. Kulifaj graduated Century College, White Bear Lake, Minnesota, and from the orthotic and prosthetic technician/practitioner program at Lakehead University, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Hanger said he brings more than ten years of patient care experience to the position.

Eric Carter, CO, Georgia licensee, has joined Hanger's Marietta, Georgia, patient care center. According to Hanger, Carter is "a seasoned orthotic professional bringing more than 15 years of experience to the position."
