Alabama O&P Hires

Alabama Orthotics & Prosthetics, Huntsville, has hired David Baggett, LP, CP, and Stephen Smith, BS, at its Huntsville central facility.

Baggett is a graduate of Auburn University, Alabama, and subsequently completed the orthotic and prosthetic program at the University of Washington, Seattle. He has six years of O&P patient care experience.

Smith, who previously served as prosthetist and director of technical services at Smith-Global, Laurie, Missouri, recently sat for certification in prosthetics from the American Board for Certification in Prosthetics, Orthotics & Pedorthics (ABC). He has spent more than 25 years in patient care, working in both military and private facilities as well as in manufacturing, distribution, research, and product development. Alabama O&P describes Smith as "a sought-after speaker at national educational meetings and seminars," with "extensive knowledge of enhanced vacuum-socket design and related technology."
