CFm Wins New-Business Award

An anaplastologist who specializes in creating custom partial digits, breast prostheses, artificial eyes, and facial prostheses has won a national award intended to help women business owners grow their businesses to million-dollar annual revenue levels. Barbara Spohn-Lillo, CFm, certified anaplastologist, owner of Prosthetic Illusions, Lakewood, Colorado, was presented with a Make Mine a Million $ Business award on September 18. The award was presented by Count Me In for Women's Economic Independence, a not-for-profit provider of business resources and education for women entrepreneurs. Spohn-Lillo won based on a three-minute "elevator pitch" presented to a panel of judges and an audience. The pitch was designed to convince the judges of her potential to build a $1 million business within two years. Nine other women business owners from Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona won as well.

The award will provide Spohn-Lillo with the following dream-list of business resources:

" A $1,000 Dell® technology shopping spree.

" Mentoring from a "dream team" of coaches and business experts, from Count Me In.

" A microloan of up to $45,000, from Count Me In.

" A Platinum Business Cash Rebate Credit Card, a financial health analysis, and possible promotion in marketing and media campaigns, from American Express OPEN.

" A "financial makeover and spa gift basket" that includes a session with a holistic personal financial coach, from American International Group (AIG), New Brunswick, New Jersey.

" Discounts on select shipping and office and print services, from FedEx®.
