OPERF Extends Tamarack Award DeadlineThe Orthotic and Prosthetic Education and Research Foundation
(OPERF), the fundraising arm of the American Academy of Orthotists
and Prosthetists (the Academy) has extended its nomination deadline
for the Tamarack Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Orthotic
Science and Practice. The new deadline is Friday, December 12,
2008. The prize will be awarded at the 35th Annual Meeting and
Scientific Symposium of the Academy in March 2009.
The OPERF is seeking nominations for individuals who have made a
significant contribution to the practice and understanding of
orthotic science within the last five years. Ideal candidates are
those who have a history of clinical care, scientific research, and
peer-reviewed publication in the orthotics profession and/or
industry.
