Georgia Tech to Offer Symposium, ToursIn combination with the 35th Annual Meeting and Scientific
Symposium of the American Academy of Orthotists & Prosthetists
(the Academy), the prosthetics and orthotics program at the Georgia
Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), Atlanta, will host an
afternoon symposium and tours of its facilities and laboratories.
On Wednesday, March 4, from 1 to 5:30 p.m., the institute invites
participants to connect with Georgia Tech scientists and clinicians
engaged in investigations relevant to O&P clinical practice.
According to Georgia Tech, the purpose of the event is to "build
the bridge between basic science, engineering science, and applied
clinical practice" in O&P.
The symposium and tours will occur at the Georgia Tech Campus,
two miles from the Atlanta Hilton, site of the Academy's annual
meeting. Round-trip transportation from the Hilton to the campus
will be provided for registered attendees. Attendees must register
in advance, and attendance is limited. CECs will be awarded.
