AACPDM Calls for PapersThe 2009 Scientific Program Committee of the American Academy
for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine (AACPDM) has
announced a call for abstracts of papers to be presented at its
63rd Annual Meeting. AACPDM Annual Meetings provide information in
the basic sciences, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and technical
advances as applied to people with cerebral palsy and developmental
disorders. The 2009 Annual Meeting, to be held September 2326,
2009, in Scottsdale, Arizona, will focus on the meeting theme,
"Frontiers of Innovation: Combining Technology and Therapy to
Improve Outcomes." The Scientific Program Committee will announce
which abstracts have been selected in April 2009. The deadline for
all abstract submissions is Saturday, January 31, 2009, and
abstracts in every category except Multimedia must be submitted
online at http://aacpdm.abstractcentral.com/
The AACPDM invites researchers to submit an abstract in one or
more of the following categories:
Scientific Free Paper and Poster Presentations: Researchers may
designate these scientific abstracts for oral or poster
presentation, or allow the Scientific Program Committee to make
that decision. Students, residents, and fellows are encouraged to
submit abstracts for the Student Scientific Poster category. All
accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to the journal
Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology.
Demonstration Posters: These provide an
opportunity to present new ideas, instruments (diagnostic and
outcome tools), techniques and technologies, pilot work,
interesting service-delivery models, and items in other areas
pertaining to the care of children with developmental disabilities.
These abstracts will not be published in Developmental Medicine
and Child Neurology.
Instructional Course Lectures: These are
focused educational courses, which may be didactic and/or
interactive, and are presented by one or more individuals or
groups. The Scientific Program Committee will also select
"Breakfast with the Experts" sessions from abstracts submitted in
this category.
Multimedia Presentations: Audio/visual
presentations of up to 30 minutes may be made on one DVD (U.S.
format only) or IBM-compatible CD-ROM, and mailed to AACPDM. They
may not be submitted online. Selected submissions will become part
of the AACPDM Multimedia Library and will be available for viewing
at the Annual Meetings. For a multimedia-abstract form, visit www.aacpdm.org/meetings/2009/abstracts.php
