Research Design, Inc.,Orthotic & Prosthetic Center in the Darien Plaza. Our aim is to provide professional, comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic care for your patients. Our orthotic department offers state of the art orthotics from a scientific approach. We do our "Research" to recommend the most suitable "Design" for each patients particular needs. We also offer expedient service. If the in-patient referral is made to us in the morning and requested "STAT", we will do our best to have the orthosis donned on the patient that same day. If not requested "STAT" our standard in-patient turnover time is 24 hours.

Our out-patients also receive high quality professional care. We have a standard out-patient turnover time of one week unless requested sooner. On the larger, more difficult cases we may require more time, but will make every effort to expedite.

The prosthetic department can handle all levels of amputation using the latest techniques available. We have great success fitting above knee amputees with the CAT-CAM narrow M.L. socket design. Below knee amputees are most often fit with the new silicone sution suspension systems when appropriate.

If desired, we are available to fit your amputees right in the operating room with a rigid dressing, pylon and s.a.c.h. foot. Subsequent dressing changes can be performed either in our lab or at the doctors office.
