Orthotics and Prosthetics Division

The Orthotics and Prosthetics Division is a division of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation which operates under the Chairmanship of Richard Salcido, MD.

We are located in the Gibson Building on the ground floor.

Our department consists of three orthotic and prosthetic professionals:

Also represented in our division are the secretarial staff and a registered orthotic and a registered prosthetic technician.

The O&P Division operates as a division of the hospital, servicing a wide variety of Orthotic/Prosthetic patients. We perform approximately 8,100 procedures annually with a patient volume of 2700 patient visits. These patients include both acute care in-patients and out-patients.

Patients are referred to us from almost every clinical specialty in the hospital. These specialties are Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Medicine, to name a few. Within the Department of Orthopedics, Orthotics and Prosthetics supports the subspecialities of spine, joint, fracture, foot and ankle, shoulder, and trauma.
