COPE provides the highest quality of orthotic and prosthetic service available to Abilene and the Big Country. Gary A. Lamb, L.P.O., C.O., has served the Big Country through direct patient care since his residency in 1982. Certified in 1983 by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics and currently licensed by the state of Texas as a prosthetist/orthotist, Lamb has continued to improve his skills and knowledge through his association with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Most fabrication is done on the premises by Lamb. We decided to stay small in an effort to maintain the quality of workmanship. Working only by Physician referral we strive to establish relationships based on trust and confidence. Patients requiring our services are often confused by the initiation of the referral for orthotic or prosthetic services. We take as much time as is needed to answer all questions of the patient and family. We try to explain based on diagnosis, history and prescription what orthosis/prosthesis the doctor has ordered, and why. We'll put it in English, not "medicalese".
