The new edition of Don Shurr's primer on P&O is now published.

This summer, Don Shurr PT, CPO and I completed the Second Edition of his text titled Prosthetics & Orthotics. The intended audience for this primer is students from other allied health professions such as Physical or Occupational Therapy. For that reason, the focus is on providing the rationale for typical prosthetic and orthotic treatment and line drawings or photos to illustrate these fundamental concepts. I replied earlier but apparently forgot to save before exiting; sorry! The AFB electrolock wouldn't help Lloyd because his parasthesias were triggered by ANY force near his axilla; even a chest strap to augment the roll-on slee... read more
