Orthopaedie-Technik Journal
The German language journal Orthopaedie-Technik has long been a great source for technical information about prostheses and orthoses. The articles are published in German but the abstracts are translated into multiple languages including English. In recent years, English language translations of selected articles have been published online as a quarterly e-zine.
The current issue includes several interesting articles, including one about a simple external monitor that records a patient's activity level as well as an announcement of a new book by noted prosthetists Fitzlaff and Heim titled Lower Limb Prosthetic Components: Design, Function, and Biomechanical Properties.
