Prosthetist-Musician: Brandon Sampson, CP
It's always fun to learn what talents practitioners have in addition to their patient care skills. I recently met a very conscientious young Certified Prosthetist named Brandon Sampson, who I learned is also a guitarist and songwriter. His group, called Six Mile Grove, is based in the southern Minnesota area and has recorded three CDs to date with another in progress. In recent months, they have been backing Bob Wooten, Johnny Cash's lead drummer from 1968-98, on selected gigs.
I would describe their music as contemporary country-rock with a tinge of folk and blues. You can download a sample from one of their original songs titled "Sousled" by clicking here, or visit their web site at www.sixmilegrove.com for more information.

Sorry for the delay in writing July's Corner. My wife's mom passed away recently, after a long illness, so I'm about 10 days behind in all but critical deadlines. --John Michael CPO

Brandon's good work!
Hi John,
good to see Brandon's good work getting a mention! Loved his music and probably just as important to show that many of the talented P&Os are "multi" talented also....Keep up the good work....both of you!
