Donate 1960-1980 Journals
Cheryl Langevin, the librarian for Century College in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, is looking for back issues of P&O journals to supplement their existing collection. They have extensive holdings from 1980 to the present, which are used intensively by their P&O students and others on-site. They also cooperate with other medical libraries and have provided copies of articles from their collection to researchers in the United States and elsewhere.
They are particularly interested in back issues between 1960 and 1980 for the following publications:
- Orthotics & Prosthetics
- Prosthetics Orthotics International
- Bulletin of Prosthetic Research
All journals prior to 1988 cannot be removed from the premises, so any donated volumes would become part of their permanent reference collection. Copies of requested articles will be provided so that the originals remain intact. Ultimately, Century College plans to convert all their holdings into electronic files suitable for Internet searching, but funding for this part of the project has not been identified.
