John Michael's Corner Welcome to the intersection of orthotics and prosthetics in cyberspace!
This Corner begins with the first installment in a series of reports on highlights from the AOPA Assembly in Las Vegas, Nevada. It continues with excerpts from an editorial on the US health care system published by the American Medical Association and concludes by noting the dismissal of recent litigation by the National Athletic Trainers' Association against Medicare. Additional information from the AOPA meeting will be in December's Corner.

All chapters from the Spanish language textbooks on Lower Limb Prosthetics and Orthotics have been posted, and remain available for downloading, along with the classic text from UCLA on Upper Limb Prostheses.

Thanks to the generosity of Sr. Alberto Castillo from Mexico City, the articles in this Corner will now be available in Spanish too. A brief biography is posted, listing just a few of Sr. Castillo's many accomplishments. Additional chapters from the texts on lower limb prosthetics and orthotics that have been translated into Spanish are also available for downloading.

Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions regarding this information in our guest book . If you would like to be notified by e-mail whenever this corner is updated, please become a registered user of oandp.com .
