AK amputee developing bladder problems
Posted By: Paul Werner, LPO on May 20, 2011
Has anyone worked with a transfemoral amputee that developed bladder pain and urinary urgency while wearing their prosthesis? She also says that she has been experiencing blood in her urine. I am inclined to think that this is related to some UTI, but the patient (female) seems to notice this only while wearing her prosthesis. She has been referred to a urologist and tests are being done, but I want to make sure I am not missing anything. Thanks for your help. Paul Werner, LPO Treasure Cosat P&O Vero Beach, FL |
