molding over foam casts

I am looking for information about drape molding over carved 4lb foam casts. Currently we are skinning the foam with plaster, it releases easily however it initially draws tight around the articulating hinge dummies but immediately "inflates" slightly losing the tight draw around the molding dummies.   Any suggestions would be helpful ZM
