Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy orthosis
Posted By: Tim Jarrott on October 10, 2012
Dear colleagues, I have been asked to consult with a patient who presents with significant scapular protraction and elevation as a result of facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy. She is a 25 year old female and has limited upper limb functional ability due to the above. I'd appreciate any advice regarding effective orthotic management for these patients. I will post a summary of replies back to the list. Thanks in advance for your help. Regards, Tim Jarrott Orthotist / Prosthetist Melbourne, Australia |
