Recruitment Assistance for Research
Posted By: SARA J. MORGAN on July 3, 2012
Colleagues, Thanks to all who have helped with recruitment efforts for the development of the Prosthetic Limb Users Survey (PLUS), a new patient-reported measure of prosthetic mobility. To date, more than 900 participants throughout the U.S. have completed our online survey. We are very close to achieving our goal of recruiting 1000 people for the validation of this measure. However, we still need assistance recruiting persons with unilateral, transfemoral amputation as a result of dysvascular complications or trauma. If you have patients in your clinic that fit this description, we would greatly appreciate your help in directing them toward our online survey. This can be found at www.mobilitysurvey.org Once validation of this measure is complete, PLUS-M will be made freely available for use in your classrooms, clinics, and research studies! Thank you, Daniel Abrahamson, L/CPO, [E-mail Address Removed] Sara Morgan, L/CPO, [E-mail Address Removed] Brian Hafner, PhD, [E-mail Address Removed] University of Washington Department of Rehabilitation Medicine |
