Kaiser Medicare Card
Posted By: Albert Garney on August 24, 2012
Response update this I posted my question. So the consensus is that this patient really has a Kaiser plan and it is treated like any other Kaiser insurance. Unfortunately for the patient, she has the perception that she has straight Medicare. Many of your responses included that this is a ACO model of insurance, basically dusting off the 1970's HMO model and reinventing it for the 21st century. Other responses thought this was a Medicare Advantage program, but since Kaiser is restricting her to their facilities. After doing some online research, thanks Carey, Kaiser is one of the largest health organizations involved in the ACO model. Either way both plans are design to save the insurance company money and are heavily tracked for dollar savings. Unfortunately for the ACO model, patient are restricted to whom they can use. Thanks for everyone's input Albert J Garney, CPO Prince William Orthotics & Prosthetics, LLC 8644 Sudley Rd Suite 305 Manassas, VA 20110 703-368-7967 |
