Florida Medicaid Surety Bond

I was told several years ago that a Surety bond was not needed for Florida
Medicaid if the company owner was a Florida licensed
Orthotist/Prosthetist. Medicaid staff is still requiring the bond and seems unaware of this
exemption. Are any of you Florida business owners aware of this exemption or
if it is no longer a valid exemption?
