Long AK component suggestion - USA
Posted By: Tandem O&P on July 27, 2012
Hi Everyone, I have a long-time patient who has always used the Mauch SNS knee in an exoskeletal OWW knee/shin. Those parts are no longer in production and I am looking for alternatives. He is an active guy with a warehouse job using a skid loader and other equipment, so the amputated side MUST touch the floor while sitting in order for him to do his job. He is a K3 and weighs 210 pounds. I apologize to Otto Bock, but I have already tried the 5R60 it did not hold up for this gentleman. I apologize to Ossur, the Total Knee 2000 did not work either; the machining has too much play. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The knee design must have a minimal build height and offer variable cadence. Have a great weekend, Lisa Schoonmaker, CPO |
