Fwd: Possible solution to obtaining new required Physician Documentation for prosthetic payments
Posted By: joe rooker on August 22, 2012
Just learned of the form Medicare requires Physician to fill out before Powered Wheelchairs can be considered a covered benefit. Should the prosthetics industry pursue a similar path to deal with our current dilemma of required physician documentation? I don't deal with wheelchairs so have no experience in this area; it may be worse than what we currently are faced with. However there is a HCPCS code G0372 that allows physicians to be paid for their time to fill this form. Getting our Docs paid for their time (or other staff members time) would be helpful. Ideas out there? Joe Rooker, CPO |
