Plasterless environment in P & O
Posted By: Hardy, Jane on September 27, 2012
Hello List Members I am working in a Paediatric Hospital which is being replaced by a brand new facility in the next four years During the design phase, my managers (non P & O health professionals) have latched onto digital technology, in particular the Omega Tracer CAD/CAM system, and are believing that with this system the new Orthotic Department will be plasterless. Users of the Omega I have spoken to so far say that the system is very good a some things, but cannot do everything and that plaster casting is a required option Do you have any comment on your experiences with CAD/CAM and its limitations or benefits Many thanks Jane Hardy Orthotist |
