cranial molding helmets
Posted By: Sharidy MacCord on December 6, 2011
We currently hand cast our cranial helmets. We are looking into purchasing a scanner but wanted to see if anyone has information on the OWW omega t-ring system and cranial helmets. We have this set up at every one of our offices and just wanted to make sure that there was absolutely no way we could use this system for helmets!? Is the image the t-ring produces not defined enough? Also- between the two scanners I am somewhat familiar with (star scanner and OWW wand/gun scanner) any positives/negatives one vs. the other? Anyone ever tried both and have a preference and why? Would love your feedback. I know the t-ring question is likely, "no it can't be used and why would OWW sell a scanner for cranial helmets if you could just use the t-ring" but wanted to make sure that was the case and possibly an answer to why you can't use the t-ring. Many thanks for your input! Sharidy MacCord Virginia Prosthetics Roanoke, VA |
