MONOLITHIC PROSTHESIS

The Airlite Monolithic Prosthesis has become well accepted as the "ultimate in ultra lightweight and low cost". During the design and engineering of this artificial limb, our goal was to create an endoskeletal prosthesis that is easy to fabricate, strong and durable.

It is made from a braided carbon fiber material and when combined with resin produces a plastic that is pound for pound stronger than steel. The AIRLITE prosthesis is fabricated using a unique process that incorporates a carbon composite ankle block.

The AIRLITE prosthesis is available with a fixed ankle (AB 1) or the new alignable ankle (AB2). The new Alignable Ankle incorporates the same laminating procedure, while allowing for +/- 10 degrees of dorsi or plantar flexion by using alignment wedges. The Airlite prosthesis is available as a Starter Kit which includes: either ankle, 5" & 2" braided carbon fiber, tooling rod and nyglass.

The result is a prosthesis weighing an incredibly minimal 11/2 to 2 pounds, which is the lightest below knee prosthesis available on the market today!
