D.A.S. Multi-Axial Rotation System
D.A.S.-M.A.R.S. Foot-Ankle System
- Comfortable, natural motion
- Combines the functions of a rotator and multi-axial unit in one component
- Can be used with NEW or existing Prosthesis (BK, AK, KD or HD)
- Four Sizes available: Infant, Child, Adult and Geriatric
DESIGN:
- Anterior and Posterior rubber compression springs
- Ankle plate; plantar plate
- Anterior and Posterior compression bands
ADAPTABILITY:
- Endoskeletal or exoskeletal prosthesis: B.K., K.D. or A.K.
- Allen Bolt method of attachment
- New or existing prosthesis- pediatric, active or geriatric amputees
- Ideally used within a Symes-type prosthetic energy storing foot
SIMPLICITY:
- Dynamic Elastic Response in all planes of motion, including rotation
- Different strength rubber compression springs accommodate individual weight and activity levels
The rubber springs in the D.A.S. Multi-Axial Rotation System are bonded
to adaptors which are bolted to the ankle plate and plantar plate. It is this
rigid method of attachment that makes these rubber springs function with maximum efficiency
in all planes of motion (compression, tension and shear).
By using the D.A.S.-M.A.R.S. unit within an energy storing Symes-type prosthetic
foot, a dynamic elastic response is achieved by allowing the solid-height phase at heel-off to change.
