Over the course of your O&P career, you have no doubt developed a number of partnerships with vendors, doctors and referral sources, physiatrists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists—all of those individuals who comprise the "O&P team." It's always beneficial to align yourselves with those who share similar goals and interests. The O&P EDGE is no different. We pride ourselves on some of the relationships we've formed over the years.

We partnered with early on because we recognized the potential of the Internet and online communication. The web was still relatively new, but all research pointed to the web as an ideal way to reach a broader audience. The folks behind bought that domain for good reason. Where else would you look for O&P news and information?

Since then, we've developed a long-standing relationship with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy). We will continue to bring you The Academy TODAY as a supplement to The O&P EDGE for many years to come.

We're also proud to introduce a new relationship with the National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics & Prosthetics (NAAOP). At least four times per year, The O&P EDGE will present news and in-depth updates about NAAOP initiatives, as well as government relations and legislative issues that pertain to O&P. Look for the first NAAOP feature article in the March 2010 issue of The O&P EDGE.

We pride ourselves on all of the relationships we have formed—and these are just a few of them. We are here to provide the best news and information to the O&P profession, as well as to promote the industry as a whole. Please call us at 303.255.0843 if you would like us to help you promote an upcoming event or major development.

Speaking of relationships, another blogger has joined the blog team. Nick Franz, corporate sales manager for Prosthetic Design Inc. and Dayton Artificial Limb, Clayton, Ohio, will be hosting a blog titled, "Exceeding Expectations: How to Consistently Impress Your Customers." Nick's goal is to help practitioners consistently exceed their customer's expectations by sharing basic principles of customer service, providing ideas to implement in their practice, and giving examples of excellent customer service.

Be sure to check out all of the blogs on at and take some time to comment. And, as always, please let us know what we can do to make any of our information outlets more useful to you by calling us or sending an e-mail message to
