The Amputee Coalition of America (ACA) has elected Leslie Pitt Schneider to its 2011 board of directors.

Pitt Schneider is currently the clinical and regulatory affairs manager at Otto Bock HealthCare, Minneapolis, Minnesota, and directs the company’s U.S.-based clinical and regulatory affairs department. She also plays a role in the company’s government relations and lobbying efforts.
“As an amputee, an attorney, and a registered nurse, Leslie brings a wealth of hands-on and regulatory experience to the Amputee Coalition,” said Kendra Calhoun, president and CEO of the ACA “This is especially important as we begin our strategic work to solve insurance issues for amputees, advance amputee care systems, and build a limb-loss prevention strategy. We are fortunate to have a strong board of directors and the dedicated support of the many volunteers who make our organization successful.”
Pitt Schneider added, “Serving on the Amputee Coalition’s board of directors is an honor, both professionally and personally, as the organization’s purpose is one that truly improves people’s lives.”
Pitt Schneider graduated from Concord University School of Law, Los Angeles, California. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minnesota, and an associate degree from Washington University’s School of Nursing, Seattle. She holds certifications in clinical research and as a histologic technician.
