College Park, Fraser, Michigan, has donated a box of adult-sized and child-sized prosthetic feet to support the Step by Step Missions 2012 trip to Tanzania, Africa, to provide prosthetic care and devices to people with albinism who are living with amputations.

In East Africa and especially in Tanzania, many amputees are people with albinism who have had their limbs amputated due to black market activities and traditional beliefs that individuals with albinism fend off evil spirits and bring prosperity, according to various sources. Many of these victims do not survive these attacks and those that do are usually housed in “camps” that are very basic. Step by Step Missions said it was founded with the goal of connecting with these individuals and providing them with prosthetic care.
