The 2017 Myoelectric Controls Symposium (MEC17) has issued a call for abstracts for its triennial symposium being held August 15-18 in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. The submission deadline is March 1.
MEC17 is hosted by the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Institute of Biomedical Engineering. Manuscripts (two to four pages) and abstracts (400 words) are being solicited for the symposium on the following topics:
- Clinical prosthetics (e.g., case studies and socket design)
- Occupational therapy and outcome measures (e.g., case studies, interventions, and training)
- Upper- and lower-limb myoelectric control
- Upper-limb prosthetic device design
- Sensory feedback
- Psychosocial/pain
- Other
