ISPO Releases Consensus Report on Lower Limb Amputation

The International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) Scientific Committee has released the first stage of its Consensus Report on Lower Limb Amputation. A symposium and summary of the report will be presented for the Consensus Committee at ISPO’s World Congress in Cape Town, South Africa, being held May 8-11. The symposium, “Consensus Report on Lower Limb Amputation Due to Vascular Disease: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Surgery and Rehabilitation,” will be presented by Karen Andrews, MD; Jan Geertzen, MD, PhD; and Saeed Zahedi, OBE, and will include time for comments and discussion.

Members may comment on the report via email to ispo@ispoint.org by June 15. The consolidated comments will be used for further revision. The second stage Consensus Report will be available by June 30.
