John Michael's Corner Welcome to the intersection of P&O in cyberspace.
Some readers have asked about the absence of the May-June Corner. My wife suddenly developed a serious medical issue in May requiring immediate treatment and, of course, that took precedence over this responsibility and many others. Fortunately, Linda is doing much better at this time, so it appears that her treatment has been successful and our lives can once again revert to a more normal (hectic) pace.

This Corner begins with the first of a two-part report on the Academy meeting in Chicago and concludes with information about an online Amputation Surgery Education Center with video clips demonstrating modern surgical methods.

All chapters from the Spanish language textbooks on Lower Limb Prosthetics remain available for downloading, along with the classic text from UCLA on Upper Limb Prostheses.

Thanks to the generosity of Sr. Alberto Castillo from Mexico City, the articles in this Corner will now be available in Spanish too. A brief biography is posted, listing just a few of Sr. Castillo's many accomplishments. Additional chapters from the texts on lower limb prosthetics and orthotics that have been translated into Spanish are also available for downloading.

Please feel free to leave your comments and suggestions regarding this information in our guest book . If you would like to be notified by e-mail whenever this corner is updated, please become a registered user of oandp.com .

Thank you.
