RESPONSES: Practitioner fees for legal assistance

Dear List:

What are your suggested fees for such services, requested by attorneys, as
a third party claim review and functional assessment of the patient?

*Responses:*

Here is a copy of what we put on letterhead to the attorneys. No one has
ever disputed the fees. We also require they sign and agree to the fee
schedule before scheduling. Then we invoice them after services rendered
with Net 30 terms. I would suggest going higher on the prices being that
you're in NYC. Attorney's fees are probably much higher there than in
Orlando, FL:

LEGAL TESTIMONY/WITNESS FEE SCHEDULE

Legal Consultation (via telephone) $75/hr. (min. 1 hr.)

Legal Consultation (in person) $125/hr. (min. 1 hr.)

Phone Hearing Testimony $125/hr. (min. 1 hr.)

Deposition Testimony $175/hr. (min. 1 hr.)

Mediation/Trial/Court Hearing Testimony $250/hr.

Review of Documents/Life Care Plan

(includes written report of findings)

$250 flat fee

Live Patient Evaluation

(includes summary report)

$350 flat fee

Administrative Labor/Research

(beyond first 15 minutes)

$75/hr.

Cancellation Fees

(less than 24 hours in advance)

Will be billed the first hour of scheduled

event

• All billing will include travel time and standby time for in-person

requirements. Any out-of-pocket expenses incurred for parking or other

additional charges will be reimbursed at actual cost. Cancellations with
less

than 48 hours’ notice will be billed at the minimum standby time allotted in

Practitioner’s schedule.

• When appearance necessitates out-of-town travel, all travel related

expenses will be reimbursed at actual cost

• Client will be invoiced immediately following a performed service or
unless

agreed otherwise in writing. Payment is due within thirty (30) calendar days

after the receipt of invoice.

If this is not your patient and they want your EXPERT analysis, my starting
fee is 2500.00 minimum

Between $300 and 400 an hour.

Three hundred per hour. Includes written and/or verbal reports time.

Be prepared to testify, takes alot of time, but well compensated.

I've charged $375-425 per hour for file reviews. More if you have to go on
trial plus all travel costs. My initial consult fee just to discuss the
case and the possibility of taking it on is $200 per hour. In that meeting
you should find out slightly more about the case, perhaps answer a few of
their questions and find out if they want you as a consultant to review the
case (which remains private) or if you will testify for the case (which
obviously both sides will then know about).

Greetings, I charge $250.00 per hour plus $2.75 per mile. I've done this
many times over the years since my retirement and have never had a problem
with any Law firm.

I charge $500 an hour for meetings and $1000 an hour for depositions; and
I've never had any issue. Pay up front of course.

THANK YOU ALL, WHO RESPONDED.
