Ecuador Prosthetics and Orthotics update
Posted By: Kit Frank on April 20, 2016
Ecuador P and O Since the earthquake in Ecuador April 16 we have received numerous queries and offers of help. We know there will be new amputees who will seek prosthetic care in Ecuador and volunteers to fulfill this need. The team at Protesis Imbabura has been providing prosthetics in Ibarra Ecuador for eight years. Due to the ever changing politics in Ibarra we have left our former foundation with all of our staff. New location, new name, but the same mission to provide low cost or no cost prosthetics to those who need them. If you are interested in volunteering and making a difference in Ecuador, please contact me and I can fill you in on the situation there. We are always looking for useable prosthetic components, orthotic knees and ankle joints and sidebars. Many of you know our wonderful staff and for those who don’t we can provide a unique volunteer experience. Please contact through the list serve or at protesisimbabura.com Robert Frank CPO {E} Ibarra, Ecuador Asheville,NC 828-774-7222 |
